Bravo Accountants
A Sunshine Coast accounting practice, repositioned around the work it wants more of
Bravo Accountants is a CPA practice at Mudjimba, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Miranda Bravo Hollands runs it, with three of them in the practice all up and around twenty years of accounting behind her. Most accounting firms get found because somebody needs a tax return done. Miranda wanted to be found for something else: helping business owners work out what their business is worth and where it is heading.
Project Scope
- Site structure and page plan
- Design for desktop, tablet and phone
- Writing every page
- Static build in Astro
- Set up so search engines and AI assistants can read it
- Hosting and an ongoing care plan
The challenge
The valuation and strategy work Miranda wanted more of, the work that most separates her practice from the one down the road, did not appear on her website. A business owner on the Sunshine Coast wondering what their company was worth had no way of finding her, and a visitor who did arrive got no sense that this was work Bravo did at all.
The second problem was what happens after someone lands. A business owner weighing up whether they need a valuation, a strategy session, or simply their quarterly lodgements taken care of needs one obvious next step. It had to be the same step wherever they arrived, and small enough that taking it costs nothing.
What I built
Ten pages, designed and written from scratch as a Rapid Site. The order of the site is the argument: what Miranda wants to be known for comes first, and the day to day compliance work sits behind it, described properly but no longer leading.
Valuations at the front
Valuations is the first item in the menu and the first service on the homepage. Its own page covers when you need a valuation, who usually gets one, what you receive at the end, and the capital gains tax change arriving in 2027.
A page for each service
Valuations, advisory and strategy, tax, and bookkeeping each get a page of their own, as well as a place on the services list. Each page answers the question that brought the visitor there, at the length the answer actually needs.
One small next step
Almost every page ends at the same free fifteen minute call, where the practice works out what you need and who you should speak to. Valuations are the exception: that page books a call with Miranda directly, because someone asking what their business is worth has already said what they need.
Proof a stranger can check
The practice's Google rating and three of its reviews sit on the homepage, with its CPA registration and tax agent number at the foot of every page and the full list of certifications on the about page. Someone who has never heard of Bravo can satisfy themselves without leaving the site.
Across the site
Business valuations: the page that now leads the site
About: the same site on a phone
The result
Bravo Accountants went live in August 2026, about four weeks after Miranda gave the go-ahead. The site now leads with the work she wants to grow, gives each service the room to answer its own questions, and puts one small next step in front of every visitor.
Because it is built as plain pages, there is nothing behind the scenes to log into, break or keep updated. It loads quickly on a phone as well as a desktop, it runs in the practice's own account so they own every part of it, and content changes come to me on a monthly care plan.
If you run a professional practice and your website describes the work you do rather than the work you want more of, that is a fixable problem, and it is usually a question of order rather than looks. See how a Rapid Site works, read the Liven Nutrients build for the version of this with no existing website at all, or get in touch.
Thank you for a wonderful website refresh! Phil understood exactly what I wanted and made the process very easy. I will be recommending him to my clients going forward. We are so happy with the outcome! Thanks again
Common questions about this project
About four weeks from go-ahead to launch, and a little over a month from the first conversation about the site.
Tax is what everyone assumes an accountant does, so it is rarely the reason someone picks one practice over another. Valuations and strategy work were what Bravo wanted more of, and the old site did not put that work in front of anyone. Leading with it makes the site useful to the visitor Miranda most wants to hear from.
Yes, and the pattern repeats: several services worth very different amounts, a small team that wants every enquiry to start the same way, and credentials that need to be visible without shouting. The fix is usually the order of the site rather than the look of it.
Content changes go through me on a monthly care plan. For a practice where every public statement about registration, certification and scope of advice has to be right, that is the safer arrangement. A site that changed daily would want a system the team logs into and edits itself.
Bravo Accountants is at Mudjimba on the Sunshine Coast and I am in Geelong, Victoria. The whole project ran remotely over video calls and shared links. Being in the same city is useful, but it stopped being necessary years ago.
A fixed scope website of around ten pages, written and designed from scratch and built as plain pages rather than on a system you log into and edit. There is nothing behind the scenes to break or keep updated, so it stays fast and it stays working. It suits a business whose website needs to be right rather than to change every week.
